Have you use tracpipe ,and how do you find the use of this material.
Im thing of the cost of copper and the cost of tracpipe/time for installing.
I suppose the a nail in copper is the same as in tracpipe.
Is it time to change like some of us have and now installing plastic pipe.
Also where is the best place that have stock in different sizes.

Im just about to start a couple of jobs using Trac pipe. Its working out cheaper due to the length of run and the route taken as it would be very difficult to get into solder fittings etc. Its more expensive than copper but then again, measured against time its probably about the same.

Can you buy it in shorter lenghts yet? last time I priced some you had to buy it by the roll (50m?)

Yes roger, you can get boiler kits, 5, 10 or 15m rolls tracpipe pipe fittings and yellow tape for the ends.

fitted loads a few years back, 28mm runs in flat complex's. the time saving outweighed the extra cost imo. tho the main reason if i remember for fitting it was the pressure loss was alot less with trac over copper.
