I have a house where the pipework is all single pipework loop with t's off through the rads and back into the same pipework. The problem is temp control and water flow through the rads. There are some TRVS installed on some of the rads. The problem is the rads arent getting hot enough. The obvious answer is to fit a balancing valve (too expensive an option) or a flow regulating valve in order to push more heated water through the rads. If thatis done though I'm concerned that when the TRVs shut it will hamper the overall flow for the rest of the system. There is nothing wrrong with the rads as 2 are brand new. The boiler is cycling in and out frequently.

You can get trv' s suitable for one pipe systems. Danfoss make them.

Is it the rads with the Trvs that aren't getting hot enough?
