To be honest I wouldnt mind a 30 minute course in washing machine outlet hose usage.

Standard one comes with two different size outlets. Small one seems to fit on narrowest gradient of nozzle of the trap. So what's the second wider gradient of trap nozzle for? The larger end of the outlet hose is too loose on that. Then if you want to extend a hose by joining two together you usually have to join the wider end of a new hose to the narrow end of the existing one attached to the machine. Looking online there's about 5 different size combinations of connection pieces available. And to confuse things I swear I've had hoses where the wider end has a smaller hole than the narrow end does.

I thought it was for sticking in the larger end of a washing machine outlet hose to convert it to a small size. But I did that and it leaked. Is that what it's for? And if so what did I do wrong?

Narrow male part fits snugly into plastic part of washing machine hose (cut of old rubber bit). Female part for attaching to appliance spigot on sink traps.

They are w/m hose extention connectors ..they do come in different sizes to suit either spigots on the traps or to join an extra piece of hose with the same on the other end with 2 jubilee clips and a double male spigot coupler also they are left handed thread regards turnpin
