I have a Worcester Danesmoor 15/19 oil boiler, its got an electronic timer module.

Lat year we had the boiler moved from one room to another as its noisy and gets in the way.

The problem is:

When the central heating is on the water heating is always on as well, we get red hot water all the time, even if you turn the water off on the panel the light stays on and the water gets hotter.

We can heat the water when the heating is off.

Our problem is we have electric showers, cold feed on the washing machine and dishwashers, so don’t use much hot water.

Before the boiler was moved we could turn the water off independently of the heating and only put the water on for 10 mins a day to keep it warm, now its on with the heating for 6 hours and its almost boiling. If you press the button on the WH side it points to off but stays on all the time, even with the timer set.

Worcester have said that it needs a new “motor diverter valve”, but my plumber reckons its doesn’t have one and never has. He also reckons that all they did was move the boiler and recoonect the pipes nothing else.

I do trust the plumber hes a good guy ive known for years and the only one in the areas who can do oil boilers.

Im at deadlock – any ideas anyone.

a danesmoor is a boiler only, ie heating unit. if you are having probs with external controls, ie no ch. no dhw, you have to look at your control system. it must have a divertor valve or 2 zone valves , called y plan or s plan.
