Bottle vent location.

Morning, I’ve had problems with air in my central heating system.
It’s always built up air (it’s got inhibitor) and needing buleeding regularly. I’ve fitted automatic bleed valves on most of the radiators, which seems to solve the air building up and causing problems.
Bleeding it after it’s been drained had always been a problem, so I’ve fitted bottle vents on the flow and return from the boiler.
Although I think these have been dragging air in rather than removing it.
I was going to raise them around 1m from the flow and return pipes, would this solve the problem?
The system is a vented system with a header tank.

Where did you get the automatic rad bleed valves ?
was it Paul at Langdon International..in Coventry ?
he used to sell loads ...I think they were German. We did go over them ...centralheatking is curious

What colour is your CH water ...not from the top of the rads but
from the lowest drain...black ? brown ?clear but drain a few litres off
to get accurate sample. I think you may have an unfound small leak
...your header is dropping new water in the reaction makes H2
which will build up in the top of everthing. Rads aav etc.
are your rads hot at the top but cold along the bottom ?

Chris if theres a bad smell coming out of the rads when you vent you have a badly corroding system , hopefully not .
The following pipe config will get rid of any air entering the system .
Trace the flow pipe from the boiler , the first tee should be the vent , the second should be the feed and next comes the pump all as close as possible, its called “close coupling “ have a google .
