You bought a nail gun???? You swine. I'm sure I mentioned that on my wish list (another thread).
I could give up grips in a second. I'd use stilsons instead. Probably better grip if truth be known. Or foot prints. Multimeter and U gauge. Yeah, that would be a trifle challenging. Changed a gas valve this afternoon. Faulty solenoid. Would have been able to diagnose it without a meter, but it's nice to know what’s wrong before you order the part.

Depends on your definition of a brain.
Ask me to do basic arithmetic without a calculator and I'd be stumped. As for working out what's wrong with a boiler, or a plumbing issue, and generally I can fathom it pretty quickly.
All our brains work in different ways. My mate who's a carpenter, just works with shapes. He can do things with wood in minutes that would take me hours. Maybe days. His brain just works in a different way to mine.

If there was one tool I wouldn't do without, it is a pipeslice (actually 3 tools really - 15,22 & 28mm ones!).
Next favorite would be adjustable spanners, next, footprints.
So many handy tools that speed things up nowadays, that I wouldn't part with.
Should have added my rechargeable Brennenstuhl led hand lamp, very handy in winter, - I carry it everywhere! :wink:

i have had my 6" wide bahco for about 6 years now and still use it every day! Great tool and pretty cheap aswell!

A guage and 2 pair of knipex. A set of wera screwdrivers, My estwing, and pipeslices (tho they are giving me rsi!)
If i had to do without them i could use a box of matches a couple pair of anything that grip, a butter knife a brick and a hacksaw but it wouldn't be professional :lol:
I think the biggest thing i'd miss is my core drill. I remember when cutting through 30" walls with a hammer and chisel ment a half shift and an hour or 2 rebuilding it. Can do them (mostly) in under 15 minutes now.

Worth every penny though! - I would pay more than they cost now if I had to. I must have well over £130 in pipe cutters & can't do without them. Got to be the best tool for us!

I've always used Kopex and rothenberg but in the past couple of years they seem to be badly made. The springs are weak and they start threading within a week or so and the plastic 28mm's last 2 jobs if you are lucky.
Last ones i bought were monument. Similar to the kopex but more of a grip on them . Had them since about September and the only complaint is the spring is a bit too strong. Sometimes they jump back off the pipe especially the 22mm ones.
