Anyway, mother in law is getting her bath out and level access hower installed this week through the council, she's in hospital at the minute so the missus went down to let them in and she's been decorating the front room for her.

So Monday 4 blokes turn up at 09.45, explaining that they are always late on a Monday as they have to report to the office. Left at 14.00. Hour for dinner.
Tuesday 2 blokes turn up at 10.20, gone by 14.00 and another hour for dinner.
Today 2 blokes turn up early (they say) 09.10, gone by 13.15 and did have lunch before they left.

I called down to see the missus at lunchtime today (and to have a nose) and one of the blokes wasn't happy when I asked how come it's not finished yet? Even more cheesed off when I asked where the extractor fan was going.

Talk about extracting the urine.

If they are still there on Saturday expect half a dozen to turn up for the time and half and double time after 12

No point in being a good tradesman with some organisations Tamz, Most workers are expected to be multitrade, earn dos all and have trackers attached to their nether regions in case they spend too long in the bog.

True, but it's a shame that good tradesmen need to dumb down rather than be allowed to teach their co-workers (I hate that term) raise their game.

Bad management but that is another issue with the councils. They are taking it easy too. Nobody rocks the boat.

Managers earn 40k a year and Trades earn 23k, surely the manager knows more and therefore is worth more...

Most of the managers wouldn't get a job anywhere else. Lick enough rses, play the game better than others and they get the position. Little to do with what they know.

Such is life Tamz, promote the idiots to a position beyond causing serious harm.
But who are the idiots, the bosses who went on every free course available and won promotion or the skilled people keeping the job going but remained a fitter.

The way I look at it is why promote somebody who can earn you good money the person who gets promoted is the muppet who cant do the job but can talk the job.
