going to have to bloody check mine now. I paid 250 for my tool insurance upto 5 grand. Going to put dead bolts on the doors hopefully it will help.

sorry to hear about this though mate.

its a sad day when skum steal tools of the trade, but I lost the lot from my garage 5 years ago, wooden doors turn to chips, probably a local druggie fresh out of nick. He did it again to a local builder and was caught in the premises, so had a good hiding there before the police arrived, then when he got home from court a few weeks later, a couple of other builders introduced themselves as they thought he might have done the dirty on their store as well. Havent seen the little scrote in town since then, prehaps he got the message, the builders were rather big lads!!!!!

good shout, we got house broken into fri at 4pm about 5yrs ago, went to cash convertors on the sat morn on the off chance of leaving a note of what was nicked just in case, when in the queue in front of me was 5 stone of skin and bone, 4 legs and 7 teeth between them, and out of their bin bag came ALL my stuff, FFS there was nearly a riot in the shop, haha my son and i got arrested for grievous bodily harm and attempted abduction, my son said to the cop "lucky you got here so soon or it would have been murder" charges got dropped due to lack of evidence and the case got postponed 3-4 times on the house breaking for them, heard one of them died of an overdose, so alls well that ends well

good to see the general public has its own justice being dished out up north, seems to be all they understand as coppers and courts just do paperwork and send them back to carry on!!!!!!!

Caught a burgler breaking into my neighbours house. Misses called Police while I held him down. Police took so long to come, that I got bored, so let him go, he won't come back though because of the self restraint was not too pleasant. Finally the police arrived and said they could do nothing. But warned me about vigilanty behaviour.

Gutted for you mate. I relly hope you catch them somewhere without any witnesses...
I bring everything of value in when I finish for the day and keep it under the stairs. It's an absolute pain in the rear and I hate doing it especially when I'm tired. But I'll be damned if some scrotty little smackhead is going to pawn my livelihood for his next fix.

my front steps no 37! and the van is chocker, with spares and tools so all I can do is rely on its dead locks. But like others the slightest noise and Im at the window with everything dangling looking out for tea leaves, god knows what the neighbours think 🙂

my dad managed to catch 2 lads ripping down our garden fence for a laugh! he caught one and my mam called the police. When they got there they asked the lad if he wanted to prosecute my dad for kidnapping a minor!!! luckily the lads parents were decent they refused to prosecute, gave him a good belting and made him come back around our house every day for two weeks to do chores.

that's the way to do it,we need the Arab approach, get caught off with the hands.

I'm working on site's still and I probably loose £50-£100 replacing tools ever year that have been pinched, I hate buying crap tools but there's so many light fingered dodgy characters about that will happily wonder past and remove your tape and spirit level whilst your backs turned. I think they should start building trackers into expensive power tools, that or a device that electrocutes the thieving tramps when they try to use them!:behead:
