At the minute I use a cheap radio i got from argos, But recently when working alongside other tradesmen they have all had these site radios.
I have had a look at the price of them.... around £100.
Why do people go for these kind of radios when you can get cheap ones for £20? It hasnt broken although i have only had it since last november.

I've a hitachi one. Nice and loud and can plug my phone or mp3 into it. Only thing I don't like is the arial.

Nice and sturdy and also use it in the garden when having a BBQ etc.

Only paid £50 for it so not too bad. Like the look of the Bosch one though and the Dewalt allows you to use it as a 110 inverter too which could be handy.

personally i dont see the point in getting things that can do multiple things like the dewalt radio, as more can than go wrong.
As i cant see any real advantages, ill just stick to my cheerful £20 radio.

makita for me but i do have a DAB radio as well if i cant be asked to hump the makita about its small and light loud if needed
only up side to the work radios is you can usde drill bats to run them some even charges them and i can plug my ipod/iphone in and chill with some dubstep

My baby sent from my iPhone and a image.jpgpink ipod

bosch box is a pain but i needed a charger and radio didnt cost a lot more than a base charger, but its too big and when the next set of nicads fail its all to the boot sale

I have the Milwaukee one. Free with the combi drill and impact driver. Works well as I can plug my phone into it as well.

site radios are designed to be used in dusty damp workplaces, which is the best thing about them. Switches etc are dust proof. Most domestic radios cant work very long in dusty situations.

ive had a dewalt, makita, both nicked. ive currenty got a makita, small milwaukee, large milaukee. best allround is the makita, best bass and volume is the large milwaukee.

At last proof that you are on a wind up......

Dubstep? Hahahahahahaha either you are 12 or you are dancin or some other mush🙂

I can't get away with working in a occupied house with the radio BLASTING away. Would feel for the customer.

As for when the house in unoccupied, I'll make do with whatever anyone else has got, can't imagine spending £80 on a radio.

Gonna make myself sound really sad, but I have a small transistor radio about the size of a *** packet tied to the tool box. So I always have it with me. I like radio 4 if i'm on my own. Very interesting sometimes.

If I'm on my own then it's the radio linked to my phone blasting out Eminem.
theres man after my own hart empty house get the radio out if its in a custards home then maybe head phones on but some times dont even bother as i wont hear the custard asking if i want tea and cake

I can't listen to radio 4 when working, it's too interesting and slows me down. If I have the radio on, not that often nowadays, it's generally radio 2. Can't be radio 1 as I can't afford to keep replacing radios when i pulverise them with a lump hammer.

Afternoon play? Archers? Some of the comedy stuff they do on radio 4 is great!

Glad it's not just me. I hate it when you can't catch the end of a really good play, some of the detective ones are brilliant...and yes the comedy is great too.

As for Radio 1, it makes my ears bleed within ten minutes. Always has done. Something about hearing the same crap song played 8 times in a day that starts to get on ones nerves!

Yo danny my friend, i found your walking stick behind the seat in the van..... 😉

i need a dab radio to listen to kerrang.... 😀

HA!! What cheek!

Kerrang, oh dear. No mate, I prefer not to work listening to people shouting angrily down a mic, while someone who can't play a guitar tries to tune one in the back ground.

It would be mainly to annoy/get rid of my boss.

worked at his sisters house, me and her were singing along to nickelback and bon jovi together.

he looked like a bull have its balls off!

i quite like heart actually. Always seems a nice and mellow mix.

My wife listens to Heart so it reminds me of her. Hence why I don't listen to it during the day (BOOM BOOM!!)

Right, I'm off to bed. Started at 8am and got home half hour ago. So a long day. Just checking on here why I scoff the spag bol, said wife left me on the side.

I have one of these hooked up to my MP3 or phone, it rechargeable ( via micro USB) and can last upto 8 hours, also have Bluetooth ( battery lasts 4 hours). The speaker is about half the size of a coke can, and it chucks out decent music for its size. Many people who see cannot believe how much noise it can make
