What do you use it for?
I've looked on screwfix where its about £4 or a 50ml tube. Expensive for a jointing compound.
Got given 24 tubes of the stuff.

I use waterhawk when I need a paste for potable, boss white on heating and rocol on gas.

If you've got a trap that won't seal. Use it on o rings and things like that. I don't use it olives as that would cost a bomb. It's helped me out with a couple of toilets where the fill valve won't seal.

Any rubber washers really

It's good stuff but I use it sparingly. My biggest gripe with it is that it cures even with the cap clean and firmly tightened.

If I'm using it on a multikwik etc, I just use sanitary silicon.

Looks like i've been missing a trick. Then again I think i'm the last plumber on this forum to buy a wet vac 🙂

I don't get the wet vac out all the time but I wouldn't be without it. It really does earn its space in the van!!

Also used it to seal the plate hex until I could get new o rings.

I used it the other day on a carp Ariston, the flow switch was leaking but when I replaced the fibre washer the o ring on the hx started leaking.

I generally use silicon grease on plate hx's and not had a problem (so far).

I used to use it but got sick of the end drying up and then having to spend ages digging it out and then still end up punching a hole in the side to get a finger full. I threw away far more then I used.

Water Hawk or Plumbers Gold is all I need.

Old locksheild that weeps when balancing. Take out gland nut squeeze in tighten down and it's stopped leaking.

This is so true!

I have never finished a tube of lsx! It dries solid & just keep stabbing holes into it!

Fernox know there onto a winner...
