I can't believe I have to ask this but.... When you get the tank outlets with 2 knobbles rather than large nut, how do you hold them tight? Is there some simple T bar type tool?
 
depending on make of the "nobbly connectors" your big tap nut spanner (bath one) should fit it .. failing that a good old wood chisel wedged in between flat to the side of the tank always works for me
 
I use a multipurpose plumbing tool you can find them for around a tenner if you look. The one tool will do all sizes of tank connectors and rad valves n stuff
