Long run of 40mm Washing machine waste pipe to external gully

I know the maximum run of 40mm waste pipe is usually 3m, however on a washing machine waste pipe running to an external gully with an open ended trap (stand pipe/hockey stick) I really can't see the problem in running it the 6m I need to, ideally there should be ground works and a new external gully added to the property but due to the huge cost to the customer, they have asked me to run the waste pipe along the wall and into the gully.

What do you guys think?

The obvious option is to upgrade to 50mm but this would look a bit severe on a domestic property, again I cant see what problems would arise... As long as its clipped often and plenty of fall...

first thing you need to suss is are there 2 systems fitted,you cant discharge into a soak away,is the gully connected to the foul water side?if it is no issues IMHO

Well if you cant see the issue then whats the problem, crack on.

Regs are there for a reason, do it wrong, get pulled up, then its your reputation.

Thanks, nope the existing kitchen sink and gutters discharge into this gully, definitely not a soak away. They have been advised before that alot runs into this drain but again are not interested in ground works. I advised them to check the gully for leaves etc and maybe jet it every now and then, reminds me of a saying my Dad used to say, "If you've got lemons, you make lemonade" ;p
I'll do as the customer requests but with advise.

6m does seem a bit long but if the customer is refusing to put in a new gully you have no choice! WM dont have a large amount of water being released like in a bath or shower so i dont think there would be any issues. Just make sure you make it clear that they cant T anything else into it in the future

Theres thousands of waste pipes out that exceed the maximum length another one wont matter
