I have had a plumber round today to fit a new shower.

The shower is in fine and works a treat but my boiler now has no pressure. (The plumber is a trusted friend but at present is not answering his mobile)

I have tried filling via the filling loop but no water comes into the boiler. I thought it may be an external issue because when i turn the main stopcock on there is no in rush of water as there usually is.

The cold fill from the mains to the boiler is on and other than that i can see no other issues.

Due to shower problems the water has been on and off all the time recently without any issues so am wondering whether the plumber done something else.

Any thoughts?

It is a combi, no hot water. Am unable to re pressurise the boiler

i have a mixer tap in both kitchen and bathroom and water is running freely regardless of tap direction

is the hot (only) a decent pressure bathroom up stairs?

right so you have cold to the boiler filling loop can you take a pic of the boiler including the filling loop plz

Plumber not answering his phone at 7.30pm? Maybe he's having his tea or spending the evening with his family. Give him a ring in the morning.

That means that my wife has no hot water to shower with in the morning before work.

No it's not your right and i know we should be thankful for what we have etc its just annoying.

Turning that blue knob not increasing pressure? What's on the other end of loop?

Ah ok that makes sense, so the valve inside is not working and the blue bit outside is only turning. Is this a quick fix? I was planning on taking off the filling loop myself tonight so we can restore hot water

is there a valve on the other end? if there is i can't see it. I have used the filling loop a couple of times and only ever turned the blue bit

Can't see that picture, are you saying there is a vale on the other end?
