That`s it, going into hibernation mode now! Wait months for a sani Q post and now a joker puts this up. Have a good Xmas guy`s and see you next year.

Done work for these people, start off ok, but they have own ideas on what things cost and how long each job should take, go over what they think and they will want copies of all invoices, want you to explain why job took 1hr instead if i5 min, want to know why parts you are buying cost so much and expect you to get cheapest parts you can find ! I've asked them if they are so concerned about cost of parts & discount I get then why-not open there own account and sort out own rates!! They will withhold work if you exceed to meny hrs, have had meny a disagreement with them, you can only speak to girls in call centre, if you have a problem they WILL-NOT talk to you on the phone, and if your lucky enough to get to speak to some one you will be made out to be wrong, all they want to do is draw money in and not spend anything on doing repairs , by all means give it a go, but be warned they will S--t on you from a great height.

We've done some work for them. To be honest you don't make much out of the servicing when you take into consideration the admin time booking the jobs and chasing some customers 3-4 times.
We've binned off the servicing but still do the odd repair for them. They are a strange bunch to work for.

Service money is pretty crap hence why we're not bothering, they always pay within about a week though.

They also pester you a bit with customer on the line that they want to book in with you immediately which is annoying, especially if you're driving or doing something.

Also, take the number of services they offer you with a pinch of salt, they have a few companies doing this in the area and like to bounce you all off each other.

On the servicing side they will give you 45-50 services a month, you will spend hours trying to book them in as most people will be at work, you then get lots of returned calls all wanting services at completely different times to each other! It's a nightmare to be honest! If you find anything wrong on the service you automatically get the repair job sheet sent direct and then expected to carry out repair! This is where it gets messy as they will not pay you any extra for running around collecting parts etc!
You'll also book a days servicing and wake up to find that half your services have gone as they've been allocated to other engineers, if an engineer goes to a call out and you have a service booked there, the callout engineer gets allocated your service! They pay £27 a service, which isn't anywhere near enough!

Not a problem getting paid, but they are a nightmare to contract to, lake others doing same thing start of ok give you lots of BS and empty promises, any problems you can never get past people in call centre, they will not let you speak to anyone other than by email, if you have a busy time and start turning down jobs, you will get a bad mark and they will withhold giving you work, go over what they think is a reasonable time to do anything they will cut payment, won't pay for any running around you have to do only for time on site, don't make any allowances for boilers in awkward places, and they will expect you to take on jobs out of area, refuse ! and again work will get cut, if you have to buy any parts, they will question cost, and want to see invoice, then will ask why couldn't you get them cheaper, as according to there information you could have saved money if you shop around or got them online , These are typical insurance Co pull in large amounts of money for very little in return, But give them a try ! you may be one of the few lucky ones that make it pay, as long as you do what you are told and don't query anything you will be OK.

I personally don't understand how they are still going.
When gas safe first took over, I used to get so much junk mail off Corgi.. trying to sell there overpriced tat £30 to get a corgi tee- shirt or over £40 for corgi work pants. Wanting you to pay over 3 times the price for a tee shirt with a badge that no longer means out. or "special offer £950.00 for a Anton flue gas analyser this month only" That 1 used to crack me up.
Before gas safe came along I also remember getting a snotty letters once at the start of April. Warning me that it was illegal to carry out any gas work and I could receive a large fine or face imprisonment because I was a few days late paying my annual fee.
Which now seems Ironic, as its them trying to make money gas fitting without a ticket.
Might have to send them a snotty warning letter. lol

Its called business! Buy a product/item put a margin on top then sell it. Sell thousands and you will make even more

To me once they lost there gas credentials there was no business!! Trying to make a business succeed when the only customers you will ever get, are ones who don't know "Gassafe"

Its like me giving up my gas ticket, then flogging out the back of my van, "printed" tee shirts with me, proudly holding aloft my out of date gas card.
Hoping they pay for the shirt before they notice. No, not the out of date card.. worse. Just me holding out a hand full of
Dog ****, yeh!! Me, that's right, I don't see any difference with "Corgis business plan" than I do with mine. Out of the back of my van I'm trying to make a living selling printed tee shirts of me holding out a hand full of dog ****, Corgi dog ****.
The dogs lame its time to put it to sleep.:83:

Never even done a job for them couldn't be bothered to turn up to the only one that i booked in rather do my own work . When they rang up told them they are on the bottom of my to do list which didn't go down well.

They're not.

CORGI sold their brand identity to a load of companies who used it to try and add some crediting lite to thier offerings. Insurance, tools, boiler care etc
