Radiator not radiating.

View the thread, titled "Radiator not radiating." which is posted in Central Heating Forum on UK Plumbers Forums.

The radiator in our bedroom does not warm up. I removed the thermal adjusting "thing" to expose the pin. The pin simply slides in and out as I would expect it to do. In or out, the radiator does not warm up. The radiator in the kitchen was the same, but removing the "thing" and pulling the pin out, gently of course, corrected the radiator and it functions normally now. What should I do to coerce the radiator in the bedroom to begin functioning again.

change the trv.

Is the "trv" the thing that I have removed or the part that is part of the radiator? I can't see how replacing the part I have removed would have any effect, so am going to assume you mean the part which contains the pin, is that right? If so, I need to get someone from the estate to do this, it is a rented place.

The solution is a Radiator Flow Booster
