I had British gas over to quote to replace my backboiler with new combi. All great and had it installed only later to find on this forum while looking for something else that the one pipe system is not ideal for new combi.

Seems to work ok, but everyone is talking about the pressure and possible leaks. Piping is probably 50 years old, still looks ok and haven't had a major issue - most radiators seem to heat up but some a bit cooler.

Anyway, did British gas advise me wrong? should I call them back to check on certain things they didn't mention?

They set the pressure to 1.9

What did they set the heating temp to as it should be no more than 60

And also might be worth contacting the manufacturer to see how the warranty stands
