    I doubt the pipework would get hot due to the lack of ‘flow’ fit a bi-flow trv as these can be plumbed on either flow or return

    Have you tried tightening the individual components first, using two spanners or a pair of grips and spanners holding one to prevent spinning and the other to tighten?

    During my recent re-assessments it was told to me that ncs wasn’t a ‘thing’ anymore however during a recent convo with another gsr engineer it appears it is. Just isn’t viable on a form as such so I’m wrong in this instance; apologises!

    Should definitely be in solid flue. Also the hole in the liner where they take analyser readings etc shouldn’t be there potential Products of combustion (POC) entering the room

    Evening all.. Kinda a gripe conjoined with a question but does anyone know why cylinder stabbings i.e cold feed, hws return, flow and return are rarely square on a cylinder? Doesn’t seem to matter what brand I’ve come across they’re always off-set? More an annoyance than anything :mad:

    What tools for apprentice plumber?

    As above largely depends what sort of work you’ll be doing... Start with the smaller items you’ll use often; decent set of spanner’s/grips/screwdrivers, pipe slices, level and tape. All relatively inexpensive but indispensable

    admittedly i dont own the rp50 but i too have issues with the rp30 version. Mine seemingly seized? although a bit of brute force and the a good old kick did the trick. Must admit im not overly impressed with the quality for the money?
