    I’m not really sure what you’re talking about Shaun. Have you logged onto gas Safe website recently. It’s all there mate. AR and ID. No mention of NCS because it’s gone Shaun.

    Yes but GIUSP comes from the HSE. I think I’m probably going to follow the gas laws rather than a bloke in a training centre

    Could be a wiring fault, where the pump and boiler get switch live from the stat, not from the auxiliary circuit of motorised valve (2port) grey & orange

    Maybe solder ring was the norm in the past and they do have their uses. But these days they tend to be used more by DIYers.

    Proper plumbers use copper for inaccessible pipes. They also don't use 'solder ring' fittings.
