[ASIDE: I did wonder if this was the best forum for this but figured as it was a boiler related issue that the gas engineers would be dealing with it as a matter of course. If I'm wrong can someone let me know and I'll shift it to a better place.]
I have a condensing boiler installation...
Hi everyone
I hope you can help.
We were getting some work done and our builder attached the boiler condensate pipe to the sink waste pipe. This was all then covered with dot and dab. Shown in the picture, red arrow.
So the only thing visible now is a round pipe from the wall. We are yet to fit...
Our boiler is in the loft and I encountered a leak in a roof above our side extension store room which has transpired to be from the boiler condensate pipe. It was cracked at an elbow so the plumber we use has replaced this and hopefully all will be well with that joint.
This later prompted me...
Hello I have a condensate pipe that appears to be leaking at the joint.
How do I fix the leak? Would something like plumbers putty around the joint work or does it need to be some other compound? Can I simply pull the pipe and joint out and then put the compound round it
Thanks
hi. anyone used one of these before.. need to connect a hose from a condense pump to a w/c pan connector..these are for connection to soil pipe so im wandering if the wall of the pan connector maybe too thin?..best option is change pan connector to one with a boss on it but the toilet is stuck...
Engineer has installed several boilers for me. All the condensate pipes have been connected externally into soil stack or rain water downpipe. In each case he just drilled a hole in the pipe, and stuck the condensate in the side, smeared glue everywhere. No boss, or branch.
Is this allowed, is...
I'm on a new build the boiler is in the garage. I have the option of drilling straight out with the condensate in to the stack. Or drilling through from the garage to the house to tee in to the kitchen sink waste. So it's either coring out and coming out with that black dot is.
Hi all, new to the forum. Ive come across a commercial plant room with around 500KW of boilers where the condensate terminates outside about 4 inches under the ground directly next to the wall of the building...... no drain, no soak away, no neutraliser. My understanding is the acidic content...
Hi. Was looking for a house on sale the other day and just wanted something confirmed to me...
Was there ever a time when a condensing boiler could have been legally fitted, and in accordance with MIs, with a 22mm overflow used as an external condensate pipe... and with that condensate pipe...
Hi guys. My plumbers a nice guy and shortly going to fit new boiler. My concern is no obvious way to connect condensing pipe. No down pipes on my property or drains. He's considering letting it go to ground between two houses. I m not sure.!!. Dont think he has any alternatives. Any ideas or...
Baxi 105he fault code blocked condensate trap? Removed terminals disconnected the pipes undid fixings removed trap and gave it a good clean out then refitted? Boiler still showing same fault code after a lot of head scratching I changed the terminals over from there original positions on the...
Attic gas HVAC condensate line dumps into home's rear gutter, damaging it and fascia board. I need a Pro to re-route condensate pipe inside house ASAP for imminent roof replacement. Please message me your earliest availability and rates.
I have read a few posts on here discussing sharing a washing machine stand pipe for the boiler condensate pipe and the risks of washing machine waste water backing up into the boiler etc., but I recently seen something that I can't find any discussion on so thought to start one.
It was a combi...
I have noticed recently that when I switch on the boiler to heat hot water, the amount of condensate flowing is much more noticeable than usual, in fact, noticeable by the noise of the water running. Usually, you barely hear the condensate flowing. On the other hand, when the Central Heating is...
Hi All
New to the forum and would like some advice regarding flue gas condensate colour please.
Carried out a repair this afternoon and checked flue gas .
c02 in line with manufactures instructions and clean on the c0 side of things .
Upon completion emptied my analyser trap and noticed the...
Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but my family and I are starting to crack. I'll start at the beginning, and maybe someone will see something that makes sense to them.
We live in a council property, and a couple of years ago our boiler (a Promax 28 Combi) started flashing us the...
Hi everyone, my sister's 5 year old Worcester Greenstar CDi Classic boiler is losing pressure rapidly[down from 1.5bar to zero overnight]. I checked everything I can think of including all visible pipework, radiators and pressure relief valve outlet and couldn't find a thing out of the ordinary...
I have a Glow Worm Flexicom 15hx that is leaking what I assume is condensate from the circled area, is this likely to be from the part of the flue that could also leak CO gas? Would the fix be as straightforward as replacing this plastic part if that is the source of the leak? Thanks!
One of the reasons I have seen for not routing the condensate from an extractor fan outlet into the soil stack (at a point above all sinks/toilets/etc that drain into the stack) is that smells would come from the stack into the room containing the extractor fan. I can see the logic in this but...
