    Could this be valve fore draining heating system?? See picture

    could this be the valve for draining down the central heating system. There is a pipe outside the back door leading up to the airing cupboard and seems to go to this valve.

    Can i fit a push fit isolation valve on ground floor heating pipe without draining system so i can fit new heated towel rail in a day or two,or would the pressure of water be too great once I've cut through pipe,its on a combi system, thanks
