Not posted for some time but find these forums really interesting. Had a full heating and hot water system installed many years ago in ex council house by Servowarm, I guess the experts here would not think much of that company but it ran for years with no problems at all and was serviced each...
Hi,
We have an old Baxi Bermuda 552 in our kitchen diner (installed in 1989). We have recently had our window and wall taken out to install patio doors. The air vent for the boiler was removed at the same time. We need to install a new vent ASAP as I am aware that this could be quite dangerous...

Hello - would appreciate some advice - British Gas have just installed a new boiler.
I have complained about the fitment of the Spirotech filter - see images.
It's physically jammed in between the cupboard and boiler casing.

Originally I've got a wireless receiver next to the boiler and a battery operated wireless stat. Now I assume I just take my live and neutral from the receiver and put them to the nest and the common and call wires from there to...

Howerver I've taken it out of the box and it only has two out of the four of the corners with holes and trheads for valves / air vent. Both are at one end of the rad. At what I assume is the bottom, and where I'm...
New boiler fitted, part of the install was to brick up the old flue, prior to the job starting the plumber asked;

My reply - 'Bring bricks anyhow, but...
