I need to replace a 3 port on an underfloor circuit.
its blue and has a yellow light on top of the box.
does anyone know the make of valve and if I can replace with a standard 3 port?
thanks
Open coal fire which supplies hot water and feeds the radiators. Fitted is an Altech 3 port valve model No.ALTHC011, which is only 3-4 years old. Problem started a few days back, and it seems that only the hot water tank is receiving hot water from the boiler. (Baxi 3 sided boiler) Examining...
V4044 vs V4073
I found a boxed V4044 on site today (vacant property).
Looking at the spec, these are not a mid position valve so where would you use one?
I have an S Plan heating system at home with upstairs and downstairs split as 2 zones. The downstairs heating stopped working recently, but all was still ok with the hot water and the upstairs heating. It appears that the 2 port valve on the downstairs zone has failed, as when the system calls...
My heating system is a sealed system with gas fired greenstar i24 serving a hot water cylinder and rads via a 2no. 2 port valve arrangement.
The greenstar was fitted 3yrs+ ago and ever since I have had a bang noise when the heating is switched off (either via stat or by the timer) the previous...
Hey everyone,
Had some work done to convert our hot water system to pressurised one. Well the chap installed a new 2 port valve and kept the original 3 port mid position valve in.
To me that is a pointless thing to do as to me as surely its two valves in series to one another?
The...
I turned my heating on for the first time this year and found that although the hot water is OK, there is no heating. The boiler doesn't kick in when I turn up the thermostat.
I checked the zone valve switch which slipped so I changed it. However I noticed that the spindle which operates the...
Long story short. Changed a 3 port which is now sending 80v to the boiler switch live once the heating is turned on then off, so it fires all the time. Works as it should on the hot water. Valve Mi says that's what it should be doin.
Is there a valve out there that cuts the voltage off...
My sister told me that her hot water isn't really getting hot any more (heating is fine) - suddenly it's barely luke warm. I know her system is a bit of a mare, so yesterday posted a question re changing her motorised valve on bungs -...
After a bit of advice please. System is completely conventional OV, 2 tanks, 3 port, etc.
Firstly, is it possible and advisable to change the 3 port valve on f & e bungs?
Secondly, I have the conical, rubber bungs, but the outlet for tank has splines in it. How can I get good seal with these...
Went to price a combi swap yesterday , Worcester 28cdi, has a 3 port under the boiler!! I've never seen this before, I wondering weather it's been left in , from a conversion?
Hello all,
I've recently changed an old pump, and the mentioned diverter valve. However I notice the wires are a different colour to the new Drayton valve, though both have 5 wires.
does any body know what old wires correlate to the new ones, and if it's just as simple as I'm hoping to change...
I went to a job where the the 3 port valve is seized, replacement for this is £200 at plumbcenter. I thought I would replace it with a Honeywell 3 port but the wire colours differ.
The Drayton TA/M4 has blue, yellow, white, black and earth.
Honeywell has Blue, orange, white, grey...
Hi folks, would appreciate tips.
Header tank in loft, 3 port valve at 60 cms high from floor, couple of radiators a bit higher. Drain point for radiators on ground floor. Isolating valves on pump never been touched in 25 years. I guess I need to tie up the ball valve in the header tank, or...
Hi all,
Aware may be going over old ground again but it's a system with 2 2 port valves - one for HW and other for heating - ( oil fired regular boiler) . Customer complaining boiler fires up when not required. Assume it is a fault with one of the valves - also if boiler on for hot water...
A few days ago (just as the bank holidays started), I stopped getting hot water and only central heating, even when I was just asking for hot water. After ALOT of research, I discovered the joys of a diverter valve and synchron motors. It is making a bit of strange clicking buzzing sound (has...
replaced a honeywell 2 - port actuator today, the valve/blackball bit moved very easily so I didn't change the valve body.
strangely I only replaced the actuator off the original valve around 2 years ago.
The custard had the system put in approx. 6 years ago, so in 6 years we are now on actuator...
I had a standard Y plan system which has now been added to to provide UFH to an extension. The additions are a T off the hot feed into a 2 port valve into a 22mm thermostatic valve and then into a grundfos pump. This then pumps round the UFH with the return flowing into the 22mm thermostatic...
I need to change a 3 port valve tomorrow as the valve is screwed and leaking badly. It's a 4 wire potterton but I want to replace with a 5 wire honeywell. Can anyone help with the wiring? Where does the extra wire go????
