I have a central heating/boiler question that hopefully some of the experts / installers on here may be able to advise on.

Have just had it serviced and the...
Hello everyone it's been a while since I posted although I have been regularly visiting the forum and trying to soak up some info.

I have just completed upgrading my central heating from single pipe to Two pipe, and replacing the radiators with new ones. It is a sealed system with a Vaillant ecotec pro 28 condensing combi boiler, and I am now at the stage of balancing the radiators. I have read up on how to do it but there...
Hi all, can't find exact answers to these anywhere in the forum:
I have a closed pressurised gas boiler central heating & hot water system. Plumber (young guy who i didn't trust and flooded the place, left rads leaking, etc.) said a combi boiler wasn't suitable for our house, I think due to our...
hi all, I need to fit a new shower but I cant get a tank connector from cold feed to the shower pump any lower than the cold feed to the hot water cylinder, regs states it should be at least 30mm lower to avoid scalding. is it a new tank needed?.

Hi all was wondering if some of you could help, been to look at a job today and just wanted some help with a few things.

Had a quick chat with a mate yesterday about the following, could someone please clarify...
- If there is hot water but no central heating (or vice versa) is it more than likely the diverter valve? Poor hot water could be the plate heat exchanger?
- How do you check for earth continuity on a...
I failed my Level 3 gas assessments on gas controls. Working as a new installer I have been told that this can be a common pit fall for first assessment candidates. I am resitting on 6 August .Anyway, I will put some of the questions I had up here , with some answers i think are right and would...

1) Anyone recognise this tap? Customer has it installed 18 months ago by someone else and it drips from where the arrow is on the cold side. No drips underneath where pipes connect. The gap has a slightly concaved disc which was loose and I tightened it by finger but it kept dripping. I'm coming...

Hi Guys,
I am looking to supply my DHW via a Multi Fuel stove connected to some kind of thermal strore/tank.
The tank will sit 2.5m directly above the stove in the attic.
I have been on the phone to a number of companys who sell tanks but have had some conflicting answers so I am in the need...
I used to have an LPG C/H boiler supplied from a bulk LPG tank about
25 metres from the house. Having dispensed with that boiler (I now have an air-source heat exchanger), I wish to utilise the underground
pipe which is 25mm yellow plastic, to feed propane gas from a smallish
19kg bottle, to...
Could someone tell me (as a point learning and curiosity) - does an indirect system (copper cylinder arrangement) have a pump inside the boiler and on the flow pipework feeding the rads or just a pump on the flow pipe for the rads?
Many thanks folks
Martyn
