Hi guys. I hope you are well. Does anyone know what size hole it is for this button connecton? Actually, what I am trying to say is can this be replaced with a fluidmaster?
Thanks
Hi I have a radiator in my kitchen which I would like to change. I was confident changing the radiator until I realised that it has 8mm Microbore piping running off through a wall and feeding another radiator.
This is pictured here
The radiator which I’m looking to install is a cast iron...
I need to replace the stopcock on an old mains water pipe. The house is about 60 years old, the pipes OD is 30mm, my local plum centre said they had no parts available to do this. The old stopcock is leaking and seized solid. Any advice about where I can get the parts to fix the problem would...
Hi there, we replaced our Rotex Sanicube thermal store after discovering large amounts of sediment in our hot water supply. It was replaced with a Wocester Bosch unvented 250l cylinder.
The sediment issue was resolved immediately but have noticed a large increase in oil usage. Probably going...
Just moved in and we knew the combi boiler, a Ferroli, was a total piece of the proverbial! Anyway it’s losing pressure - called out our home emergency and they said the boiler is on it’s last legs!
In summary we have 16 radiators, 2 showers, 1 bath and 6 sinks, although they won’t all be used...
Hi,
I've recently had a new Worcester Greenstar Ri gas boiler fitted and want to replace the old mechanical room thermostat. I really wanted a digital room thermostat but I understand that this isn't possible. As I understand it, a digital thermostat would need wiring directly to the boiler...

Sorry for use of simple terms. Just explaining what I can see. Have attached a picture. We have opened a boxed in old shower fitting but this looks very different to what I have seen before. I am used to seeing one pipe to fit a new shower but this has two pipes. Would this mean knocking into...
Hello,
I changed the hot tap cartridge on my quarter turn tap about 1 year ago. I changed the discs and washer of the same hot tap cartridge in June of this year but it is still dripping.
Is there anything else I can try do stop it dripping?
Any help would be much appreciated
My parents have recently had a problem with their worcester 24ri boiler where the water heats up but the heating does not. They have had a local plumber which they have always used and wouldnt use anyone else to look at the problem. The outcome being a £6500 quote to replace with a combi boiler...
Hi,
I have a hot water tank, 3 header tanks in the loft and so I am assuming I am on an open vented system. I wish to replace a bathroom radiator with a wider one so will need to extend the existing pipework. I also want to tile around the pipework by drilling the tiles (for a neat finish) and...
I’m trying to replace my TRV on my radiator but have found that my pipes are 15mm copper but the radiator has a 22mm radiator tail.
There isn’t enough space between the valve and the radiator/pipes to fit a compressor (which is what I think I need...)
the old broken valve looks like it goes...
Hi Folks.
I am trying to replace a damaged 4 wire (L/N/E & Switched L) Drayton Invensys RTS1 Electronic Thermostat with a replacement BG WS4 Electronic version.

Hope someone can identify what I need to connect my new toilet pan to the vertical soil pipe in the bathroom floor.
The old toilet's pan drained vertically into the soil pipe. I now need to fit a new toilet + pan connector, but the flange in the floor doesn't appear to be catered-for when it...
Hi all,
Have had a quote to rip out existing tiling (due to water ingress), replace the shower tray and replace tiles with plastic wall panels.
This is a small ensuite, approx size 70cm x 80cm x 170cm high.
Quote is 2k and a week to do. Does this seem about right for the job?
Hi

I have got a Worcester Bosch combi boiler heating system with a MagnaClean filter. The heated towel rail in the bathroom is white and rusting, so I plan to replace it with a chrome rail to reduce the likelihood of future rusting. Am I right in thinking that when I disconnect the existing towel...
Had to take the lid off to replace the inlet diaphram, but now can't replace the lid without also messing up the two button mechanism.
This is not a 'normal' two button cistern, where the buttons can be removed individually, with this one (make unknown) the whole dual button bit unscrews so you...
