Hi
I have an ancient Ideal E type boiler which is primitive but works fine.
It has the original P0616 probe type stat ( Ranco?) which is probably nearly 40 years old and is the only
temp control for the hot water and radiators as I do not have TRVs fitted
So I have been turning the boiler stat...
We have a very old Landis & Staefa room thermostat which I would like to replace with a simple like for like model. I cant see a model number on this so just have this image.
Can someone recommend a suitable replacement please?
I have now established that my boiler, a Baxi Potterton Performa 30 HE will only work in relay (on/off) mode.
Looking at the wiring diagram below, which terminals would I connect to the new version of the extension box? Tado won't tell me. When I installed my first Tado system on an older...
Hello
I wondered if anyone could advise me which cables go where, on the Heat Link for the Nest E Thermostat I have purchased.
The two cables shown are from behind the ATAG One Controller.
Thanks in advance
This thermoastat is much higher than the dial says. Correct.me if I'm wring but that doesn't seem right...
It's been like that for days so it's not like I've just turned it down...
Hi,
I looking for a thermostat for my Sime Brava One which implements the OpenTherm Protocol and has an RF between the thermostat and the boiler control unit. I prefer to have it with Wifi, but it's not a must.
Thanks,
AymanB.
I have a Viessmann vitodens 100-w 30kw being controlled by a EPH CombiPack4 wireless thermostat. I need to move the receiver because it is struggling to communicate with the thermostat in the location I want to put it.
Could someone advise on the cable required please? I can see that it's 4...
Boiler is a Worcester Boch Highflow 440 with a TR2 room thermostat. This is an old style bimetal stat and I want to replace it with a digital one, e.g. Honeywell DT90E1012 two wire.
Is this going to be possible? I'm assuming that the current three wires are Live, Live Signal and Neutral and...
Hi to you lovely plumbers & heating engineers, seeking advice on replacing a Flomasta wireless thermostat. I inherited it when I bought this house & it’s a bl**dy nightmare to program, heating coming on at all times, unable to easily change temperature for different times. My last heating bill...
A few days ago the Bosch engineer came to house to check the built-in frost protection in my boiler, he said the built-in frost protection is only for boiler; I also should have installed a pipe frost protection or pipe thermostat, as the issue on the day was about built-in frost protection, now...
I have a new Grant Vortex 15/26 oil boiler installed.
It has a boiler thermostat with no numerical information, just a wedge graphic and covers about 1/3 of a turn.
I wondered if anyone could give an indication of what the range of temperatures is likely to be (I don't want to set the boiler...
I have a need for for a thermostat for a copper cylinder connected to solar power so I'm looking for an accurate thermostat which will allow me to store water at up to 90c ?

I am having problems finding a thermostat for my radiator. The radiator is a Purmo radiator and is about 15 years old. I have tried two replacements but none have fitted.
Hi all, we have an Ideal Logic Plus which was previously working with an RF mechanical clock/thermostat. Unfortunately the clock was dropped before Xmas so we decided to replace with something more modern. We got a salus and wired that up, nothing worked . We then got the gas engineer in who...
Hi, I just wanted to ask if the receiver of a wireless thermostat would use the current wiring I have to a external programmer? I have a Baxi platinum 28 boiler.
I’m trying to use a programmable wireless thermostat to programme my mothers heating. She has a fixed programmer for the hot water but what setting does this need to be on for the heating? Off?
I’m guessing if you have a programmable wireless thermostat and a fixed programmer you should use only...
Does anyone know if you can use the Hive thermostat with Alexa and not need Hive's hub.
Couple of websites indicate you need a Hive Hub to communicate with your broadband router.
I'm using the Honeywell T6 on my own home all linked up to Alexa via my home router and can use voice commands...
I am looking after a very old house, which has a Viessmann gas-powered boiler and thermostat, controlling the supply of water to the radiators.
Most people generally suggest setting a thermostat to coincide with when they get up, go out, go to bed, etc. But my times are very irregular and...
Hi,
