Good morning and hello.
I wonder if anyone can assist.
For many years our heated towel rails have been running when either the CH or HW is running, so when the CH is off the towel rail will get warm, and similarly when the HW is off the towel rail still gets warm.
Now having had some work done...
Is it normal to plumb Towel Rails into a pressurised water system, running the Towel Rails off this water supply, or do the Towel Rails have to be run in tandem with the Central Heating?
Hi all
Please can anyone reccomend a supplier for a chrome / stainless towel radiator 500w x 800 h please?
I am trying to find one with the highest output preferably.
Thanks in advance!
A friend of the Mrs just asked me if I can fit a new towel rad.. I said sure. They just had their bathroom refurbed and the rad is the last thing.
Out of curiosity I asked her to send me pic of the pipework for the existing rad..
I just shook my head!!!
Hi, I've picked up a secondhand electric towel radiator, can these generally be converted to be used with a central heating system? It was probably made as an electric one but I can see how it might be possible to unscrew the heating element and also the cap on the other side to connect pipework.
Evening,
I am fitting 1.1m towel rail into a very small en-suite
you will see the original plastic pipes with the valves on in the picture. Is there a valve I can but for the towel rail that will fasten onto these valves without having to drain the system ?
Thank In advance ,

Hi all!
im doing a bathroom refit and the heating is a single pipe system. They've a 3 zone set up - cylinder, downstairs and upstairs. Wireless controls and a new system boiler was fitted about a year ago.
Mall I want to do is add a towel rail in the bathroom But the rad in there has a funky...
So, the DeLonghi towel radiator I got was a crock; swarf overpainted and the thread wouldn't take a valve; so I've been getting a few prices from all the usuals but not sure what to go for. It'll be a 1500/1600x500 curved in white.
City Plumbing suggested a brand I've never heard of called...
Hi again, i'll try and keep this as short as possible with all the facts, hopefully somebody can help me understand what is going on (I suspect it's an air lock somewhere).
1970's CH, gas boiler, gravity fed, no diverter valve, header/expansion tank present, CH pump has direction arrow pointing...
Hi all,
One of my friends has a 3yr old house with normal rads in the bathrooms & cloakroom which she would like to replace with towel rads.
It was built by Taylor Wimpey and the plasterboard walls are paper thin (9.5mm board I think or similar) so not the best.
She has the normal 10mm...
so whats the deal with this. im rather unfamiliar with central heating systems coming from australia. but read on a forum here that theres a general dislike for trvs on a heated towel rack. why is this is it just cause its redundant or simply unnecessary and a lockshield will suffice ... in...
Morning,
Has anyone ran their heated towel rails of an underfloor manifold? Any problemsIm thinking of running all heating in our house at "low " temperature. so keeping the higher temps at the TS

I'm wondering if borderline case or not. I know it's common to see little rads hung with these with no problems and this towel rad weighs probably less but it's also going to have people stuffing and pulling towels on and off?

Hi,
I have a blocked 10mm pipe to a Towel Rad. I have both ends disconnected (distribution manifold and Rad) but cant get any flow through it. I have tried mains hose on to one end, but it seems to hold firm.
Its never works since I've been in the house (18 months) and the property is aprox...
Good Morning all,
I need some advice on a leakage that I am having with my bathroom towel rail.
I have unscrewed the cap of the valve and tighten the nut underneath but still leaking. Please see the image attached showing where the leak is.
Does that mean I need to fit a new valve?
Thank...

Hi everyone,
The guys who put in my new combi boiler and radiators have left a hot and cold pipe in the bathroom ready for me to plumb-in my new towel radiator. They both have isolator valves (phew), so I'm assuming that connecting them up to the new radiator should be pretty straight forward...
Hi, my towel radiator has just stopped working, the connections are all good. The timer program is working but when the timer kicks in to turn the heating element on , no blue light ,no electric sent to the element, it's called a time guard, FST-11A
