hi,
its been a while since i dealt with durapipe but the estate the back off me has plenty of it installed. Last time i messed with it on a cylinder and tank change i managed to find a local merchant that had compression fittings specifically for durapie to copper. Does anybody know of any place that sells these fittings? maybe even on the net?i have forgoten which merchant it was, all i can remember was it was a small back street shop that the local counsil got the same fittings from.

i dont want to mess with solvent weld if possible and custard wont pay for anything like a repipe, its just a basin change for an old dear.

cheers,

Adam

cant remember the place i got the compression from so it looks like its going to have to be a solvent fitting job. just means i have to wait 4 hours before i can test it i guess.

I think some of the solvent cement available today are a lot faster acting on dura pipe than years ago first time I used it you had to wait 24 hours and it was really expensive I have not heard of compression fittings for it myself but as said many times on this site you never stop learning good luck🙂regards turnpin

I had the same situation. Looked everywhere for it. Happened to be plumbcenter that was the last one. They had known this estate had dura pipe on it so stocked a load for future. Not sure if you tried there but its worth a shot if there one close by.

the job got pulled for today so i have alittle more time to try and find a compression fitting if needed. cheers for the replys.
