I want to reconnect some outbuildings to an existing water supply. The supply pipe is old 22mm MDPE and buried for a fair distance so not going to dig it up and replace it 😬. Question is can I use normal 22mm plumbing push-fit connectors to make the connection as finding 22mm MDPE fittings seems rather difficult these days. I don’t really want to do a conversion to 20 or 25mm pipe because I’d only need a metre or so of pipe and it only seems to come in 50m rolls which are not cheap.

The connection would be to 15mm copper at an outside supply point and to 15mm plastic in the outbuildings

Thanks

No as it’s 3/4 I’m guessing it’s black mdpe pipe if yes you can use a 22mm compression fitting eg coupling / stop tap with a 3/4 olive in the black pipe end eg replacing the stnd 22mm olive that comes with your fitting
