It not only depends on the meter size but also the pipe size . You need to learn these and get them into your head. It is only 6 numbers. No one will be impressed if you have to look this up.

0.25mb is perceptible movement (readable movement) on a U guage or an electronic to 2 dp's (0.2mb if it reads to 1 decimal place)

i will advise the customer the drop is within tollerance and ask if they would like me to find the leak and fix . personaly but its just me i like to find any leaks but not always practable.there is no legal obligation to disconnect the appliances and test if its on the pipework only - but if you do and it is on the pipwork you are then committed to find and fix . as for the drop 8 or 4 depends on th meter fitted

8, 4 and 1 for an E6 (or pipework and appliances after an ECV (or AECV) if no meter) a U6/G4 and a U16 if pipework is 28m or less.
If any pipework is above 28 up to 35mm the allowances are 4.5, 2.5 and 1

It is only 6 numbers but they are important ones so remember them

cheers everyone,

I think I have got my head round it all now,
(did it the next day but have moved)

It all depends on the appliances connected, meter, the u gauge you use and what you are happy with.
will keep going over these, thank you all
