advice needed unvented cylinder below ground level?

Hi, Can anyone offer any advice:

I am about to instal an unvented cylinder in a basement below ground level. I need to terminate my discharge pipe but there is no low level drainage, is it ok to discharge into a discharge tank?? or can I take it up above ground level with a secondary blow off before my tun dish??

You would have to take to a discharge tank
The trouble is then pumping out from there due to potential high temp of water,maybe over 80 Deg normal pumps will not do this and it will have to be powerfull enough to pump water out at rate of possible discharge rate from cylinder,then getting over that,the pump may not be required to work for years,then expected to burst into life,I do not know of a pump that meets the above requirements and if you find one,would think very expensive

Speak to Megaflow (or other) tech support. Usually very helpful and they will have come across this situation before.

Yes I would be interested to hear what Mega flow would suggest as puddles comments are right in regard s to the temp and needed to pump ot at the same rate

This can be done (have seen it and confirmed with Un-Vented supplier). The discharge tank (or sump) must be suitable for high temperature water as must the sump pump (I think Grundfos do a suitable pump) and as Puddle says the pump must be capable of removing the water at the discharge rate or better. The cylinder supplier should be able to confirm that figure.

Your other idea is a NO the discharge pipe must fall and can not rise up.
