Hello, I have a combi boiler and the bathroom was fitted at the same time about 3 years ago. Since last weekend when I run the hot water from my bath mixer tap and then add cold there is an awful noise when I turn the cold off. I have to turn off the hot water to stop the juddery creaking foghorn noise. If I run the hot water in the bath and then run the bathroom sink cold tap I get the same awful noise as soon as I turn the sink off. Same thing if anyone runs the cold tap downstairs in the kitchen and turns it off whilst the bath hot tap is running, the bath has to be turned off quick. Any ideas what is causing this please and do I need to call out a plumber quickly? Is this likely to be an expensive issue to sort out? If it were something like unsecured pipes somewhere wouldn't the noise have been there since the bathroom etc was fitted? All taps in house mixers. Grateful for any advice. Thank you.

Hard to say without witnessing it, obviously but you do need a plumber. It sounds like a problem with the bath tap if I've read it right and it shouldn't be too shocking a bill.
In my opinion.
Without having seen or heard it.
