I am re-jigging my heating system and am adding an Aerjec. The blurb says it has been designed for installation using copper fittings. Does this mean compression fittings are not suitable to use with this product, or even Speedfit. The Aerjec will be over 1.5 metres from the boiler.

Thanks in anticipation.

I believe you can you soldered or compression.

I would use compression, and then you can dismantle it in years to come when the cold feed is choked with magnite =]

the copper is very soft and using compression would not be advisable, if you want solder a small piece of copper in and the add a compression fitting onto your normal copper.

Many thanks to AWHeating and gassafe for your prompt replies.
One for and one against. Given me more to think about though.

Thanks.

once you have it in your hands and have to reshape the ends to get a fitting on because of how soft the copper is you will know its not a good idea to fit a compression fitting on it.
