Hi all the rads downstairs are cold , pump seems to be fine, have turned off all the other rads to push heat to one only but it only gets lukewarm , reckon it mest be trapped air but not sure how to rid the system, have bled all the rads

hi Rob.
is this following some other work, has something changed?
How long has this been an issue?
Are the valves closed on the problem rads, sticking trv's?
more info could prove useful.

Hi Simon , have changed all the trv on all the rads , removed the rads and replaced, then refilled system, since then have no heating downstairs, rads upstairs are hot, heating was working fine before the work which makes me think cant be the pump, only thing I can think of is that there is a blockage in the pipe after draining off, all the pipes are 10mm , only other thing is that I think the motorised valve maybe knackered cause the hot water comes on when the heating only on the programmer

Rob, pump may feel like its ok but the impellor may have come off. Upstairs rads getting warm by thermal convection. Is the pump warm/ hot but the pipe going in and out cool?
Does the pump have gate valves or ball valves (screw driver slots)? If gate valves, in what condition are they?
How competent are you with these things?
