My wife would like to move the door of our airing cupboard from our daughters bedroom into the bathroom! I am concerned this will create mould and condensation (mixing the wet environment of the bathroom and heat from the airing cupboard where the hot water tank and boiler are situated) any advice on this idea would be appreciated! Many thanks

Hi Gav fox.

Lots of airing cupboards are situated in bathrooms and provided there is adequate ventilation, i.e. a decent extractor fan, in the room there shouldn't be a problem.

I'm with Paulus on this. If you've got good ventilation it's a great way to free up space in your daughter's bedroom and use that in the bathroom. Also I'm sure your daughter would appreciate not having people coming in and out of the room to air things.Myself and the wife have the same set up at home and we've had no problems.

I can't stress how important good ventilation is. You don't want mould or a grotty bathroom but once you've got that sorted there's nothing to stop it.
