Alternative to Everbuild Plumbers Gold?

Can anyone recommend an alternative to Everbuild Plumbers Gold? I have always used this with great success, but the latest tube doesn't seem to work as well as previous tubes. Have the changed the formula when they moved from black tube to a grey tube?

CT1 is also a hybrid polymer that is a favorite and solid performer.

Isn't CT1 more of an adhesive rather than a sealer? The great feature of Plumbers Gold is that it seals really well but also enables the seal to be broken in the future if necessary, more of a sealant than and adhesive

It's multi purpose and works well as either afaic. They are both low modulus perhaps not as low as Gold perhaps which is why you can break it easily but low enough for sealing joints.

What are you using it for?
If putting in wastes - then use plumbers’ mait.
