any idea whats wrong???

my ideal he 18 boilers not working, ive no hot water or heating, and theres no lights at all on the display panel, no fuses look like theyve blown, our gas still works on the hob and i can still use my emersion for hot water...what could be the problem:confused5:

PCB for Icos's generally around £140 plus VAT and should be fitted by a Gas Safe registered installer, check Gas Safe Register | Ensure your gas engineer is registered. and enter your postcode

If you can work a multi meter or test lamp you can figure this one. If not wait until tuesday it will be cheaper.

Get a gsr engineer. Should only charge if they fix. If not it might be a boiler that works off switched lives that may require a spark.

No the icos has a permanent live. Most likely cause is pcb but a slow running fan can take out the pcb. I looked at one recently and the fan had taken out the pcb and user control. I advised the customer to get ideal out on a fixed price repair as the cost of parts would have come out higher. I didn't charge but got a £20 tip.

causes could be, main 3 amp fuse, pcb quickblow fuse, on/off switch faulty, pcb or user display, simple tests will rule these out, my moneys on the pcb but you need a gas safe engineer to look at it.
