Anybody been approached by labc publishing

I had a phone call from LABC publishing regarding a magazine they are apparently bringing out in cornwall and advertising in it.

My 1st thoughts are possibly a scam but wondered if anybody else has been approached by them?

Why would they approach you for advertising?

Unless its free advertising then go for it if you have to fork out for a mag you may not of heard of then stay away imho

I'm guessing they offered you to be the only plumber in the book too! These types of people always ring alarm bells to me!

No they didn't they were having a number of each trade in it.

The only thing is they sent through and all the paperwork looks right otherwise they would of had just ignored it and carried on.

I get good results from local rag get several calls a week just doing bits easy money zero stress unlike the bigger stuff

what is labc, fire brigade? any of these are frauds normally out of liverpool

Labc is local authority building control.

i have a few of these calls, normally from somebody with a liverpool accent, its a scam.

police bum mag, several charities, normally the same three or four voices. they get your number from Gas Safe website, yell.com etc....

local building control is council/ guvernment run. give them a call and ask if its real.

building control isnt allowed to recommend tradesmen so they can hardly advertise you

Cheers the girlfriend said to just trust your gut and don't do it. But I wouldn't work for anyone then!
