View the thread, titled "Anyone recommended a boiler breakdown/servicing cd" which is posted in Boiler Advice Forum on UK Plumbers Forums.

Hi all,

Been on tools 7 years but mainly installs and gen plumbing. Now with maintenance company and been given quite a few breakdowns.

I'm ok..and get there in the end but not really fair on customer.

Can anyone recommend any learning products..books, CDs, websites etc?

I'm using a fluke continuity/voltage tester at moment but prob need to get a decent multimeter to take exact readings right?

I ve got CDs from Bosch and looking at the CDs available on corgi direct but if anyone could give me advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Mo

Contact the boiler manu's as they have loads of stuff specific to their models which they don't generally publish.
Get a copy of some BG stuff from a mate.
You'll learn in time.

:iagree:faulting experiance occures over many years, learning as you go no one course or book will give the answers

it's always a good idea, when doing a boiler swop, to take the old boiler back home with you,
you can then strip it down, it should give you a better understanding of the internal parts etc

i've got 2 boilers that i've saved for stripping down, had them for a year now though, i might get round to it sometime :laugh3:
