Aqaulisa shower cartridge

Hi Guys

I need to change the cartridge on my customers aqaulisa aqauvalve shower. For those of you that Know is this a simple operation and is there anything I should look out for for.

If you mean the 609 or 700, then yes its easy enough. Isolate the supplies, remove the on/off knob (push in one side of the "aqualisa" badge and it should pop out then remove the screw and prise off the knob with a thin blade), undo the 4 screws holding the temperature ring in place (note the positions of the various plastic rings etc) then undo the screws holding the cartridge in place and pull it out releasing a gush of water as it comes off. the new one should come with any new o rings etc and particular instructions for refitting. 15 minute job.

If it's the one I think it is, getting the old o-ring out of the housing is a right ****. THe instructions say use a crochet hook. How many plumbers have a crochet hook?

I have an old dental pick which is perfect for the job. Have a word and see if you can scrounge an old one from your dentist.

Yes WHPES it is that one, and your right it can be a bu**er to get out. I've got an old spring hooking tool thingy from my days as an NCR engineer.
