bar shower fixing bracket

Hey anyone used the bar shower fixing brackets that fit in the wall. Any advice on what distance to set them in the wall? So you can connect bar shower after its been boarded and tiled. I have always used the fixing kits that fit on the surface before, were you cut the pipes back so 25mm is sticking out then attach.

No no no no no......
1st fix pipes 1000mm/1200mm off floor, 150mm pipe centers with cap ends.
2nd fix use 'fast fix' converters (bristan) fast, easy, if theres any leaks its away from tiles (never seen leak with 1).

One i repaired was flexi/garden hose/ jubilee clip heaven! To fix the repair i had to mix match various flexi's and pipework. Was absolute horrible! Would never install 1!
