Bartol Acorn Pipe

Acorn is the old Hep20. you will need special support sleeves, slight difference in wall thickness.

N.i.p.s in arrogate stock the fittings to adapt this to 1/2 or 3/4 bsp

The Grey pipe that you glued was called poly york.
Brings back memories of sleepless nights, hoping that the glue would cure overnight.

This is brown flexible central heating pipe, in remarkable condition for 30 years old, has 22mm printed on it

Its about the first plastic that came out in the late 70's. Made by bartol who were taken over by hepworth.
The hep inserts fit it ok but probably half the stuff fitted never had inserts in.

yes i remember it being pretty instant it was the glue they use on swimming pool stuff now just push dont twist

Came with the big pom pom brush Steve. Can't remember much else about it except it had nice blue writing. I was usually out my tree 5 minites after opening the tin :lol:

We have a lot of the old solvent weld mains here, even in my own house. Thank god i dont have a pitch fibre soil pipe like on e estate in Amazingstoke has
