T

tiling spread

iv started the bathroom of doom.
fitted the back board on the stud wall 18mm ply for the sink over boarded it and plasterd the room.
ready for first fix plumbing and mist coat. The bath room suite is coming thursday.
iv run 22mm copper pipe from the H/C pipe work on the landing in too the room with iso valves.
Im planning to run the pipe work too the bath in 22mm then have reducing tees from 22mm to 15mm.
tails too the W/C and sink.
now how do you run your waste pipe do you run 40mm (bath) in to 32mm (sink)with a reducing coupling.
from the bath too sink then in to a boss on the 110mm soil pipe.our run two separate pipe for the sink and bath.
all the tails will have iso's plumped in with flexi hose.

iv just bought a sexy core set ready for all the drilling from (maidstone plumbing)

i get fat discount in there nice guys too 50% the cores and uther stuff and 35% bits
iv spent over £400 just on the plumbing side not aven got the soil waste yet
need to go too building regs monday and hand in regs paper work.

its a pain in the butt

i would do the waste the other way round, 40mm from the bath to the stack with the basin teed in to it so you don't have a restriction on the bath. everything else sounds ok to me.

Should really be run separate for bath and basin but seldom is.
Don't tee the 1 1/2" bath into an 1 1/4".

Without a doubt should be run separately, if there is a blockage then the basin will fill into the bath.

cool well im thinking about runing the pipe work today.
then fit push fit stop ends at the end of the day so no crap falls in the iso or pipe work.
the pipe work runs along the floor joists same as the waste so dont need too cut them out.
when i come up through the floor do you use a bend or just solder a elbow on and come off of that.
any one know ho to run the wast from the sink to get it under the floor ?????
cant wait too get back in too plumbing agen love it just haven't had a lot of plumbing work on.
its been mostly plastering tiling floor screeding and brick/block work for me.
now my back is playing up too im finding it hard to even hold a trowel all day.
im in soo much pain. im on 50mg tramdol.
iv given my self 5 days to mist coat the room first fix the plumbing fit all the bathroom suite paint and tile it.
if i last 5 days that is
:rockon:Iv given my self 6 days too rip out the old kitchen replaster run all new plumbing paint and fit new kitchen and tile.
1 day to brick up the old back door
well im off to treat my self to a new set of spanners and adjustables

as i said i got my self all new shiny kit
monument pipe cutters 15mm/22
monument burn mat
(used hilmar pipe benders) EBAY
deburring tools 15mm/22mm
new bottle of gas
new big roll of steel wool
pipe bender bag

core set
18v li on makita drill
loads of stock ie fittings ptfe new tub of plumbers mate
big tub of flux
big roll of solder

And use an anti vac trap if you do tee the basin into the bath waste!
I agree with this because if you don't use an anti vac trap on the bath, you may get gurgling noises through the bath waste when the BASIN is emptied.

You need to run 11/2 and tee into it for the basin with a reducer. Ideally 2 separate wastes should be run, but often this isn't the case.

If you fit the anti vac trap to the basin, you won't get noises when either are emptying. Personally, I always fit them at the highest point.

Agree with Tamz and secret squirrel. Seperate wastes all the time. Seen too much basin waste water coming up in the bath not to support that. However if it can't be avoided, use 2" out to the stack from where the basin tee's into the bath waste. And of course anti vac traps although you probably would not need them.
