Hi,
Can anyone help please? 105 HE converted to LPG
On start up the boiler basically goes through all tests and the flame lights but then goes out (tries three times) then flame failure light comes on flashing. The problem is the same on CH and DHW.
Checking the Fault Finding checks the ignition is sparking and the gas lights but the "Burner on" yellow/green neon does not light.
Then after 9 seconds (I have timed it) the flame goes out. After 3 tries the flame failure neon flashing lights and after reseting does the same each time.
The Fault Finder points this to "F" which says "no gas at burner", but the gas does light. I can hear the gas valve open and checked and there is 240volts across pins 2 & 4 on PCB A1 connector. it then suggests replacing the gas valve but the gas valve works as the burners light, I can also hear the modulator click in then out. I have also checked the regulator on the tank, no issue, 37mbar.
I rechecked all the pressures on the gas valve, which to be fair were pretty much spot on, as this looked more likely the issue (section G of fault finding) and bingo it worked for about 4 hours that evening but had the same fault again in the morning.
I suspect the modulator, across the pins of the modulator I get 2V which then begins to rise to around 12 volts whilst the burner lights up, the flame failes before it stabilises. The fault checker says minimum should be 1V but even with smaller nut fully out or in it does ont change.
I have checked the flames sensing electrode (although not sure how I am supposed to measure 1 micro amp) and the condensate is not blocked.
Anyone got any ideas as the only other cause seems to be the PCB.
The Fault Finding sequence seems a odd since the burner on neon does not light yet I do get flame.
Or anything else I need to check/measure?
Thanks in advance.
Michael
