Baxi combi 105e

I have been in the engineering game all my days so consider myself pretty competent also just wondered if there is anything specific to look out for.

Instructions on how to will be in the manufacturers instructions Trev .... Did you know you can get a diverter valve service kit for the 105e? maybe all you need?

Yep but because of it's age I think I would like to replace the lot.
 
as said you can get a service kit,it will just be a seal that has gone probably
But if you feel better replacing the complete valve for piece of mind ,fair enough,not hard to do,take your time and remember to get all new washers for joints
imho

Only concern,hope I don't get a leak from the heat exchanger pipe (upper connection) through disturbing it at the diverter valve end.

There is always a concern you may disturb other joints on the boiler ,while working on one section,you should be more concerned you do not disturb a gas joint,that is why it sounds like you would be best getting an experienced qualified plumbers in,it should not cost that much,you will have peace of mind then and a guarantee on the work

Your choice Trev end of the day. You may have to drill out the fixing screw underneath (I think there's one) if water has got at it, give it a spray with releasing oil if it looks dodgy!
