Called out to a Baxi Combi 80e. sorted a few probs, broken mode switch and changed diaphragm on heating side due to sticking up. The hot water side is working fine, heating will fire up for 3 secs and cut out, no flame light comes on. MI's say it's pcb but it's not, i've changed this and fault is still the same. All sensors check out. I am down to blockage in diverter valve or time clock (mechanical built in) being faulty) any clues please?

Have you tried linking out the timer, that'll rule that out as a fault. Sounds like a temperature problem to me. I can't remember if this model has the temperature LED's on the front? What are they like? Does the flow start to warm?

Yes it does have have the temperature LED's but it is not staying on long enough to register, only on the hot water side and that is working fine and registering a temp. I am there tomorrow due to customer availability so will link out the timer and try that.

You need a gsr in to look at your boiler. We cannot and will not give advice on the installation or repair of boilers for your own safety.
