Got a baxi solo to go look at cust says it makes a bang when it starts (explosive ignition) also it cuts out when running. Im thinking it must be over heating. I know electrodes are common fault on these but anything else to look out for that could cause this (combustion door seal i hear are bad) any advice you experienced guys havr would be great

You have pinpointed two of the most common problems with the boiler in the dodgy electrodes and the combustion door seal which falls to pieces, they are the first place I would look personally.

Just had a quick look and right enough door seal in bits! Electrodes didnt look too shabby though. Cust turned heating on to let me hear ingition. Fan runs then a whining sound followed by big bang. Never came across whining noise before what could this be? Gas valve possibly?

The fans have a bur on the air intake which sometimes needs cutting off, also low gas pressure?

i had this on a baxi 133he same burner i think, or similar and the burner had a big hole in aswell check that?

As mfgs there is known to be a burr on some of the venturi's that can cause noise. Remove it and feel round edge and file smooth.
The door seals also very poor and electrodes very sensitive to damage/wear and gap. £1 coin should fit exactly parallel through gap.
Check burner, then you can check gas rate and FGA readings are spot on.
