BAXI SP3 problem

Afternoon all 🙂
I went to look at a Taxi SP3 fire attached to a 45/3E BBU.
The BBU works fine but the fire won't light from the ignition unit so I'm presuming that it's a new pilot assembly needed.

I thought I'd check on here before I order anything though as I don't do much with fires at all.

BTW - the customer has already bought another fire that she though I could just fit to the opening in front of the BBU. It's a DFE fire and it definitely won't fit as there's no room.

She's also asked about getting her shower sorted but I'll post that in awn of the other forums 🙂

Have you checked that you are getting a spark at the pilot?

Check also that the pilot jet is not blocked.

Try lighting the fire with a lighter/ match.

It lights with a match, that's the problem. 🙂
My customer has a bad back and doesn't want to be bending down with a lit match all the time.
I haven't really had time to do a proper check - just thought I'd get clued up first, thanks anyway.

Probably the spark lead shorting somewhere. Take the cover off it and have a look for where it is sparking.
The baxi inset fire had a different boiler
