In 100 years some other saddo will have an Opella Variflush hanging up in his garage saying oooh they do make em like that anymore, its real genuine plastic.

Lead pipe plumbing in homes is usually the 1930s or older.
Remarkable the quality of the old brass siphons.
To think of how many times that has been flushed.
If Carlsberg did siphons.......
 
That’s still working .. impressive mate. Have you ever thought about of refurbishing it properly with fresh paint ? A customer has done it amd it looks real awesome though even though I’m not a fab of stuff like this

I have a high level cistern to try to repair. It is thought to be Victorian.
Going to be interesting.
Think I have a photo of it somewhere.
Also got stored an all copper high level cistern with brass siphon.
