Hi everyone
Ive recently had work done on my heating system and the engineer has advised me to fit a magnetic/non magnetic filter.
Can someone tell me which is the best one to buy.
Thanks in advance

There must be plenty of threads on this topic already lol...

Magnaclean pro is the answer 🙂

Was told yesterday that Alpha have their own filter now and if you use it with a new boiler (alpha obviously) then they give you an extra years warranty on the boiler. It used to be part of their jig but is now a stand alone part that connects directly to the return fitting on the boiler.

i like magnaclean pro 2, dislike spirotraps (just purely how their magnet is fixed to the body) 😀, but as mentioned its pure down to the preference of each heating engineer.

They should give you free axe with every boiler lol I'm not big fan alpha is another word for skip to me lol.

Thanks everyone for your replies.
Ive been looking on you tube and the trappex one looks good.spoke to trappex on the phone and they said they are bringing out a new inline filter soon.
I might just wait for that.

I have a set of old twin magnaclean magnets for a powerflush machine, does anyone know if they can be attached to the calfush pf machines that Ray hires out?

Centramag by trappex - all day long AMS has sold over 500 in the last year with one come back
it is a good and well engineered mag and non mag filter easily cleaned

I would not wait to install a filter - buy the existing trappex one its easy to fit - the in line
ones are really best installed on new fit - ANYWAY the super strong magnet and filter will be
just as good - trappex magnets are boss unless you have a heart packmaker Centralheatking

I like the fernox tf1 but they can tend to loosen up after a few months.

They've improved the design now by doing away with the multicoloured washers etc.

I haven't had 1 fail yet... can't say the same with magnacleans :-(

I think they're very much horses for courses.

Which ever you decide on it'll be better than nothing.
