Best pushfit connectors

I won't touch anything apart from HEP2O, except Speedfit stop ends (which are much easier to remove than HEP2O.

I guess it's what one's comfortable with ultimately.

yeah JG Speedfit with [FONT=arial,sans-serif][SIZE=-1]Speedfit Superseal Pipe Insert.

I've used Hep2o and Speedfit on plastic and Tectite and Cuprofit on copper with no problems at all. Just be careful when cutting and prepping the pipe and make sure they're pushed fully home. I agree on the speedfit stopends - the Hep2o ones are a pain.

Anyone got any views on whether its worth using silicone spray? The Hep and JG reps I have spoken to say its not necessary, but a couple of 'old hands' I spoke to said they always did (15mm stuff - not waste.

JG Speedfit for me every time.Always use compression to chromed copper though as I have know one "pop" off in a loft, caused a LOT of damage.

jpm, when putting pushfits onto chrome pipe you need to remove the chrome first (sand it off with fine emmery paper) since the chrome is too hard for the pushfit 'teeth' to bit into so they will pop off.

same here. noticed that hep20 has changed design lately. they have done away with the white ring inside the fittings.

Yes I know to remove the chrome you also have to do this to solder it,but for general advice and ease for the diy bods, don't use pushfit to chromed copper.

I used to use speedfit, though I now use Hep2o fittings. I find them more reliable and can trust them to work under floor. A bit more pricey but peace of mind. Like with any other fitting, just make sure the pipe is home and the nut is tight before testing!!!
Cheers

100% JG Speedfit for me and never had a problem. Most plastic mixer valves and pump manufacturers use them.
